What we help with

An outdoor living renovation should begin with how you want to use the space, its existing condition and the improvements required. Patio surfaces, shade structures, exterior finishes and related electrical work need to be coordinated with the home and site.

01

Start with the way you use the yard.

Do you want a place to sit in the shade, a more useful dining area or a patio surface that connects better to the house? Those goals help define the size, layout and finish priorities.

A reference photo helps explain the look you want, but dimensions, existing conditions and the relationship to the house determine the actual project. Review access, drainage observations and what needs to remain undisturbed.

  • Patio and outdoor living improvements
  • Pergola and covered-patio project review
  • Concrete and surface improvements
  • Exterior painting, trim and related finishes
  • Lighting and other agreed trade coordination
02

Match the improvement to the property.

A shade structure, roof connection or electrical change can involve different requirements from a finish-only patio update. Identify any needed design, local approvals and HOA review before confirming construction dates.

Bring available surveys, existing plans and HOA guidance to the discussion. Requirements depend on the property and scope; we do not assume every outdoor project follows the same approval path.

03

Choose materials as a connected palette.

Consider the home's brick or siding, existing trim, nearby windows and the patio surface together. Exterior materials should be selected for the location and intended use, not just a small sample's appearance.

Clarify finish maintenance, installation responsibilities and material availability before ordering. If you want to compare options, define the alternatives in the proposal so the scope remains understandable.

04

A clear starting point for pricing.

Send the project city, photos, approximate dimensions and the improvements you are considering. Include your preferred timing, access restrictions and any existing drawings.

We work across The Colony, Plano, Frisco, McKinney, Carrollton and nearby DFW communities. We can review outdoor work alongside a broader home renovation when coordinating the two makes sense.

Useful answers

Before the walkthrough.

Can you review a covered patio or pergola project?

Yes. Share the existing space and desired structure so we can review the scope, design needs and applicable property requirements.

Does an outdoor project need HOA or city approval?

That depends on the property and proposed work. Identify applicable requirements before ordering or building; a finish-only update and an attached structure are different scopes.

Can exterior painting be included?

Yes. We can discuss related painting, trim and exterior improvements as part of the agreed renovation scope.
